Based in United Kingdom
Drawing and painting have always been an important and existential part of my life. As a young person in a closed society where self-expression was highly restricted and fear for daring to dream was dominating, colouring and drawing were my favourite toys. They stimulated my imagination, enabled me to express myself and helped me to develop as a young person. My paintings have been accepted to national exhibitions and, as I was keen to help others immerse themselves in the world of colours, I organized small, local workshops within my community. At university, I made my living by selling paintings and other artworks such as design dresses. Life always kept me away from where I would want to be in an art journey, but slowly and steadily I got close enough to touch, feel and absorb the creative process of visual arts – I learnt to let it shape my soul and mind the meantime, I invite you to browse through my paintings gallery below.
Over the last couple years, my artwork was present at various fine art events either in the UK and aboard ,such as UK Coloured Pencil Gallery – “The night battle”, “Ready for feast”, “Keswick landscape”,”Pomegranates”,Ann Kullberg Coloured Pencil Magazine, US – “Francy’ s Bakery” , The Patching Art Festival,Calverton, UK, 2014 -Highly commended- “Romanian Easter Eggs”,2015 Miami , See Me digital edition –“Friends” ,2014-2015 Heeley Art Club UK – “The saxophonist”, “Vero Gusto Café” and ”Marmaduck Café”.
Sometimes I feel myself struggling in understanding the light and colour and how to put them together. I talk to my colours and try to find out what exactly they want to be like. It is when I feel like everything is frozen in my life. So, I get to talk to my dear colours and sooner or later they show me start talking back. We can talk for hours, even days, and the result of this dialogue is my art. I like to think that my paintings say hope, peace and joy.
I create visual art in a wide range of mediums, including oils, tempera, gauche, acrylics, watercolour, pastels and coloured pencils. I paint on paper, stretched canvas or canvas board and even on wood. From landscapes of Italy’s most secluded places, bespoke artisan paintings on furniture pieces to modern impressionist art, my paintings cover a wide range of themes that will enrich your home or office.
