Based in United Kingdom
Born London 1967 Peter grew up on the move around Europe and India, experiences which led to a fascination with the look, feel and flavour of place, the differences, the similarities ... the essence of place. The aim with making art, is to be outside the maelstrom of modern life, to focus on being creative, to gaze calmly at the world, be curious, to explore, to have fun and work with a sense of play. He seeks to restore watercolour painting as cutting edge, cool and edgy. ... and to this end continues to travel widely, sketchbook in hand around Europe, India, Russia, Japan, South America. Influences are ... Russian folk illustrations, Italian and Dutch renaissance masters, Edwardian society portraits, Japanese prints ... and anything else Japanese. When not painting Peter works as a Landscape Architect. He lives in London - right in the middle.
