Teodora Totorean

I am a full-time artist based in Devon, United Kingdom. I create acrylic and mixed media paintings inspired by music, nature and poetry. I strive to learn and develop my style all the time, exploring various techniques and using all the tools available in my little studio: brushes (both ends), palette knives, fabric, fingers, sticks, etc. I am inspired by nature, archetypal images, my childhood memories of a happy place where I grew up and other forms of art like music and poetry. I like colours and texture and I am trying to find new ways of applying texture onto the canvas and incorporate other materials (fabric, vintage paper) into my work. I paint mainly in acrylic on canvas and I would describe my style as lyrical, semi abstract and decorative. My art has been published as greetings cards and CD covers. I have exhibited with gloss-Art Gallery in Exeter, West Country Galleries in Weston-Super-Mare and The Moreton Galley in Gloucestershire.
