Based in United Kingdom
Over time, I've noticed that the way I see things has changed. At one time, everything seemed to consist of a series of tiny, coloured dots, floating close together, so my early paintings were impressionistic in style. Later, I began to see everything in sharp outline, so ink line drawings took centre stage. And now, I see everything as startling blocks of colour with clearly defined areas of light and shade (hence my description of my current style as 'colour block'). To me, a scene full of intricate detail transforms, at a glance, into something vibrant yet incredibly simple and tranquil. My mind kindly strips away complex information leaving me with vast areas of colour, light & shade and an incredible sense of calm.
