Arti Chauhan

Arti is a representational portrait and figurative artist living and working in Hampshire. Born in India and having lived most of her life there, she moved to the UK in 2011. She worked as a trained animator and illustrator previously but as she settled in England, she decided to make a change and pursue a career in painting which was her passion all along. In 2011 she had her first solo show of portraits in Basingstoke and since then has been working as a professional artist. She works in different mediums but likes the spontaneity and transparency of watercolor the most. She uses it to create expressive and sometimes whimsical portraits of animals, full of personality and character. Her paintings have been accepted in juried shows of International Watercolor Society and exhibited in Italy, Hong Kong and Nepal. She also exhibits regularly in England and sells her art worldwide from her website and online galleries.
