About the artwork

I love these gentle giants and make an effort to help the viewer see them in a different light by replacing their neutral browns and grays with bright and vivid colors. This painting is slightly different from my usual as I have used acrylic inks on canvas. After dropping the liquid inks on canvas I let them run over each other to create this impromptu portrait. I have refrained from using opaque colors or any white in this painting and the effect is similar to transparent watercolor. Painted on a standard stretched canvas, the artwork has been varnished for added protection. Framing: It has been framed using a smooth white wooden tray frame, no backing is used. Kindly allow 5-7 days to ship.

I am a representational artist living and working in Hampshire, England. Art has been my passion since my early years and I worked as an animator and illustrator for 15 years before making a switch to become a full time professional artist in 2011. I use different mediums but the spontaneity and transparency of watercolor inspires me the most. I like to create expressive and sometimes whimsical portraits of animals, full of personality and character. My paintings have been accepted in juried shows of International Watercolor Society and exhibited in Italy, Hong Kong, India and Nepal. I also exhibit regularly in England and my art has found collectors worldwide through my website and online galleries. Thanks for visiting.
