This realistic antarctic seabird is rather endearing and I just had to paint this cute mother and baby. It just looks like baby is asking mum if he could tell her a secret. The painting size is 10x8inches and is supplied mounted between a soft white matt and backboard. The overall size, including the matt is 14x12 inches and this is the size required for the frame. My name is Sarah and my art journey started after I retired as a midwife some fifteen or so years ago. In the beginning I created digital art, but soon developed an urge, deep down, to create it physically in a traditional way. I started with graphite pencil moving on to soft pastels and pastel pencils, but I really wanted to try watercolour. It was when I discovered Youtube that my watercolour journey began. After watching hundreds of hours of video tutorials and hours of practice I have reached the standard of art that I create today, mostly with transparent watercolour and occasionally gouache, an opaque watercolour.
