About the artwork
Signed oil on canvas painting of a vase of yellow roses. This floral still life with apples in the foreground has been painted in yellows and complimentary mauves. The work has expressive gestural brush strokes in a limited palate with contrasting muted and vibrant tones. The artwork is painted on a square deep edge canvas and comes ready to hang. The sides are white. The painting is inspired by a bunch of roses gifted to my father by a visitor. The colours were just so bright and vibrant I just had to paint them. Simply put the painting is inspired by the symbolism of the yellow rose. Yellow rose is for friendship. Framed size: 65x 65

Marjory Sime
Marjory is an artist working primarily in Oils, the media of the great masters. She lives in Falkirk Scotland. Her paintings are exhibited internationally and are held in private collections. Marjory is primarily self – taught and in 2003 she enrolled in an art class hosted by the Master Still Life artist Denzil N. Herring where she soaked up knowledge like a sponge. Over the years- and a few broken rules, Marjory has developed her own individual style and has shown a broad versatility that is a strong theme in her exhibitions.
