About the artwork
I am looking for the light nowadays. That place knows everybody once visited. Greek island, Crete. At this artwork you see the terrace of a Greek restaurant (taverna), where I once spent the whole day on the island of Crete. Right at the edge of the terrace, literally 2 steps down, there were sun loungers with umbrellas, where you can relax between gatherings in the tavern. The gorgeous sea lagoon of Ammoudara, with sand fine as flour and the soft rustling of the coastal waves, makes everyone who has been there at least once fall in love with it. Lunch time. The midday sun sparkles on the thatched roofs of the beach umbrellas, and the olive trees provide cool shade. The island's light breeze dispels the summer heat, rippling the starched white tablecloths, which are secured with special clips to prevent them from flying into the sea. Traditional checkered tablecloths are carefully laid on the tables, cool natural stone floors, blue-white wooden chairs - everything brings a special flavor of Greek simple life and awaits visitors to the cafe. Soon homemade wine will flow here, delicious fresh sea food will be served on traditional plates and the most soulful Greek song will play, of course about love. I wish to be back and feel the salt and sun rays on my skin, soft breeze in my hair, to drink cold domestic wine and to laugh. It will be. ABOUT THIS ARTWORK: CLASSIFICATION, TECHNIQUES & STYLES Drawing is a technique of visual representation on a flat support. The term "drawing" designates both the action of drawing, the resulting graphic work, and the shape of any object. It is also a representation on a surface of the shape (and possibly the light and shadow values) of an object or figure, rather than their color. There are a large number of drawing techniques: “Linear drawing” represents objects by their outlines, edges and some characteristic lines; beyond this limit, the drawing develops by representing the volume by shadows, often by means of hatching, incorporates colors, and joins, without clear transition, the painting.Light at the seaside

My name is Natasha Sokolnikova and I am an artist. I graduated from the School of Fine Arts “Alexei Sciusev”, Chisinau (Republic of Moldova) with the highest score and further The University of Humanitarian Knowledge. Now I live and work in Munich, Germany. One of my greatest strengths as an artist is the combination of classical education and my own vision of the surrounding world. I am a fan of travelling and it gives me chance to acknowledge with a widest range of different cultures. That experience also helps to understand art trends nowadays. The theme of love, female identity, the emotional power of color, visual insight attract my way in art. I love flowers and it seems to me female soul lives in them, who cannot speak, but me...
