This is a 66cm x 49cm original pastel study. P'tits Reves is a small gift/sweet shop on the beach in Trouville, Northern France. The work has been done on to Fisher 400 Art Pastel Paper. The technique involves building layers of watercolour onto the surface and then working over the top in pastels. The work will sent unframed in a heavy duty roll. Don’t be worried that the work is sent unframed. This means that delivery is free, it arrives safely and you can chose your own frame/mount. You do not even have to handle the painting. I will provide detailed instructions. All you have to do is take the roll to your local framer, chose your own frame/mount and he will do the rest. Hello Im Brian Halton and for the last 25 years I have lived in the wilds of West Yorkshire where I have a small, modest studio/gallery. After teaching art for a number of years up to A level standard I now paint full time. I find inspiration in most subjects – landscapes, cityscapes, seascapes, sport, animals etc . Commissioned work has been a large part of how I make a living but I don’t do as many now and try and concentrate on painting subjects that interest me. I use a variety of materials, oils, acrylics, watercolour and mixed media but work primarily in pastel on sanded board.
