Morning Glory - Summer Sunrise is from a series of paintings inspired by the simple beauty of a summer sunrise.. I am so lucky to live near some beautiful sandy beaches and when I wake early enough I will go for a dawn stroll, this doesn't happen often but when it does it is always completely awe inspiring,,, I used sweeps of vibrant thick paint applied with palette knife to create mood and texture This painting is oil on gallery wrapped canvas and although it is not framed the canvas edges are painted white and the painting is strung with cord on the back and so is ready to hang as is.... Carefully packed and boxed and posted

In my work I attempt to depict not objective reality but rather the subjective emotions and responses that my surroundings or subject arouse in me. I graduated from NCAD with an Honours degree in 1995 and have worked as an artist ever since, exhibiting extensively both internationally & nationally – The Hugh Lane Municipal Gallery, The Guinness Hopstore and the RHA Gallery among others and my work can be found in many important collections nationally and Internationally including the OPW. Recently I took part in the SKY ARTS LANDSCAPE ARTIST OF THE YEAR 2016 series and totally enjoyed my days painting at Wray Castle in the Lake District, England, although I didn’t make the Semi Finals of the show, I was offered a Solo show in ...
