I am a contemporary landscape artist who continues to be inspired by the works of Turner and the cloud formations,shadows and burst of light which illuminate the high fells of the Lake District. My semi abstract landscapes are a combination of expression, vision and recollection rather than representational images. The paintings are produced on wood panels using traditional oil paint.Layers of paint create textures, mood and atmosphere. During my career I have had work accepted for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition along with successful one man exhibitions in Edinburgh and throughout the North West of England including the Lake District.
