About the artwork

It is part of my Birds series. Birds are recurring motifs in my creative life, I have a natural attraction to them. Symbols of freedom, inspirations for the aircraft, who also moved into cities together with us with the advent of the modern age. Different birds have different characters. The cute and wise owl, the smart and mysterious raven, the naughty seagull evoking the infinity of the seas, and the gentle city bark, the pigeon is all a spot of color. Although their facial expressions are not perceived, their movement and posture convey a wide variety of emotions. Looking out of my daughter’s Glasgow window, this view was received, which I really liked with this variety of seagulls. In recent years, I have used OSB as a basis. By retracting the paint layers, I use the texture of the veneer as part of my compositions to create a unique rustic industrial atmosphere. This work will be delivered with Care Instruction of my encaustic paintings and a signed certificate of authenticity. Carefully packaged and tracked shipping. I ship this work in cardboard boxes careful wrapped in bubble foil and protect the painting with cardboard.

Dora Stork is an award-winning Hungarian painter whose art has appeared in solo and group exhibitions in Hungary and Romania. His work can also be found in many private collections in the United States, the European Union, and Japan. Dora is an abstract realistic encaustic artist: abstract in the world of color, realistic in the world of form, symbolist in meaning. As a politically minded painter, she is interested in public life as well as social and economic processes. She presents her particular vision in these works. The dreamlike compositions are her intuitive reflections on public issues. At the same time, seemingly astonishing, strange circumstances and inappropriate details on a rational sphere might evoke questions in the viewer... (see more)
