About the artwork

This is an original painting on a wood panel, 24 x 15 ins. I have painted a lot of Staithes as I stayed there quite often. it is a quiet fishing village situated on each side of the Roxby beck. A very picturesque village. This picture will need a frame, It has been varnished, and carries a certificate of authenticity. I only use the best quality paints ie. Winsor and Newton. The side views show my contraption for taking photos.

I didn't want to bore you too much about my historical journey, and adventures of my ability to paint, but encourage you to understand how my pictures could affect you. My paintings usually start from the faintest glimmer of an idea; it might be a photo, a scene, an image on the telly or my imagination, I even dream pictures. Sometimes an idea for a picture is in someone else's head, which I usually extract eventually using several sketches.
