I have always painted throughout my life and as a child I was very much encouraged by my mother (an artist herself based in North Yorkshire). I did a degree in Art and Environmental Studies (BAHons)combining both my love of art and the environment. My career developed working for Harrods as their Millinery buyer allowing me to continue to be creative. Having had 3 children, I launched my second career as an artist on a professional level and at Kingfisher Studios in Oxfordshire I both teach and paint regularly focusing my passion for abstracted landscape in mixed media with collage. Using this process I create paintings to depict space, structure and distance, often using hues of turquoise juxtaposed with the earth colours of burnt umber... (see more)
