About the artwork

Woodlands 1 is a detailed study of an area of woodland. It is based on a photo I took in Croatia, when I was on holiday there. It is painted in acrylic but some detail is added with black pen , to give definition to the work. It is realistic, to a point, but painted in a stylized, dotty impressionistic way. The main colours are slightly enhanced to give a textured feel to the surface. It comes complete with an ivory mount and backboard. It takes a standard 16 x 20 inch frame which can be easily bought ready made in many places. I have shown it in a black frame as this suits the painting. The size quoted includes the mount.

About The Artist

Roz Edwards

I am an artist, who loves to paint bright bold colourful paintings. My main focus is TREES. I specialize in contemporary tree paintings, done in a range of styles. Some are very realistic and detailed, some impressionist dots, some focus on patterns and negative spaces between branches, some are restricted colour schemes and some can only be described as an explosion of colour. I love painting trees, and am continually exploring new ways to create art work based on them. I love painting contemporary floral art, and was a full member of the Society of Floral Painters, until the society closed.
