SORRY, This painting has sold, however should you wish, I can commmission a similar painting in a size of your choice. I did a series of paintings with this theme on commission that went to Stoneham Massachusetts a few years back. working from photographs sent via e mail. They were large works in a more formal form, this painting is how I wished to portray the subject and pleases me. The young girl too aware of the camera made an intriguing subject with her awkward poses and features which I exploited. I may use her in my goblin& paintings as there was a fairy like quality or ambiance to her even with the absence of large pointed ears. I used the huge privet type hedge as the back drop to this painting and applied the paint in a swirling movement to represent the ghosts of former bubbles seen in the brush strokes with a few more obvious spirals to draw you close to notice them. Artist Biography Belfast Northern Ireland born U.K. artist Michael McEvoy based in Nottingham. I studied art at Belfast School of Art and at Manchester and Nottingham. I was the first art and design technician in the United Kingdom for the City Technology Colleges at The Djanogly C.T.C college. From 2008, full time free lance artist and life drawing tutor. While an accomplished artist in etching and engraving, acrylic and water colour painting and wood carving. I have painted in oils for several years.
