Constellation is an original abstract piece of art. It is a mixed medium modern piece of art that is made up of an handmade abstract Lino cut that sits beautifully within an acrylic abstract painting. The Lino print has been hand embellished with inks and the edges of the print has been hand torn to expose the edges of the paper, highlighting the texture of the paper. This texture is then echoed throughout the rest of this contemporary canvas, as the line of the print continues to flow around the surface of the canvas. It may be a small piece of modern art but it is definitely full of texture and intrigue and the colour palette consisting of simple blues and silver is very calming. The Lino cuts are printed using both high quality inks and paper, as are the acrylics used and the canvas has been professionally stretched. The edges of the canvas are neatly painted and it is already strung up with d-rings and picture cord, so all you need is a picture hook and the perfect place to hang it!Constellation

Katie has studied many different art forms during her time in education and beyond, from photography to sculpture and many disciplines in between. She also spent a number of years working at an art gallery which she feels was an invaluable experience and an education within itself. She enjoyed being introduced to new styles of work and fascinated to see how a person would be drawn to a particular piece of art, as well as how different two people’s interpretation of the same piece of art can be.
