Jenny Morgan

Based in United Kingdom
Coming from an arty family it was almost set in stone that I would follow along in some way. It took a few years to kick in, then I was hooked into the biggest passion of my life. I have always loved faces and for the most part, portraiture has dominated my work. My bread and butter comes from commissions for portraits, both people and pets, however I am always up for a challenge and do in fact enjoy recreating everything that I see before me. I live on the edge of the New Forest and so have ample opportunity to wander with my dogs amongst the ponies, pigs and donkeys that roam on the Commons. More recently I have adapted a form of collage using old scraps of torn paper. This began as an exercise for myself in tonal value, but I was thrilled at how it all came together. I almost disappear into a compost of paper at the end, but I love the unknown quantity. Its like making up a jigsaw puzzle as you go along. It seems to fascinate people, I do workshops and they are always well attended. The large John Lennon portrait shown on my page has been internationally shown, also displayed alongside John Lennon's own artwork as it traveled the country. I have had a bad couple of years with my health and have lost my sight in one eye, but not dwelling on these things I am now even more passionate to lose myself in painting art that I hope you will love..
