Based in United Kingdom
Welcome to my gallery. My journey into art started as a therapeutic activity whilst adapting to a complete change of life after I suffered a near-fatal brain haemorrhage. I have explored many creative techniques, developed and inspired through study, as well as much experimentation and practice. My work is mainly abstract or semi-abstract, using a limited palette of mostly blues and white. Experimenting with textures and a variety of materials to create subtle, fluid effects, I aim to convey and capture light, atmosphere, and a sense of mood and movement in a loose, flowing, suggestive style. I'm especially interested in the fluctuation and fragility, yet power, of the sea and the natural world, and these themes feature prominently in my work. The beautiful and ever-changing Norfolk coast is a great source of inspiration, as is the glacial landscape further afield. My work has featured in exhibitions and galleries across the UK and overseas, and is held in private collections around the globe. I donate a percentage of all sales to the Brain & Spine Foundation UK.
