About the artwork
This abstract painting is about climate change and is based on the Antarctic Symphonies of Sir Peter Maxwell Davies and Vaughan Williams. It shows concern for the growing problem of environmental damage from global warming with a contrast in cool and 'scorched' colours and a 'melting' effect. We have just experienced extreme temperatures and fires in this country and Europe and it is high time all politicians and world leaders accepted the reality of what is happening to our planet.Antarctic Symphony (3)

Art and music have always fascinated me and I have been involved with them for most of my life. I have drawn and painted from a very early age and have created a diverse range of artwork in watercolours, oils and acrylics including portraits, landscapes, cityscapes , nudes, narrative works, abstracts and semi-abstracts. In my career I worked with composers, songwriters and performers, so musicians and music, past and present, have inspired a large number of my paintings. Actors from stage and screen also feature in the portraits included in my portfolio. Commissions are regularly undertaken. Painting gives me enormous pleasure and I hope others enjoy what I create. Virtually all the income I receive from sales is donated to the NHS, Ment... (see more)
