About The Artist

Dan Wellington

Born in Bedfordshire, I spent the early part of my career training and working as a chef. Many years later and having worked in numerous restaurants as Head chef I felt it was time for a new creative challenge. Travels across Asia followed until I finally settled in Woburn Sands in Bedfordshire where I was to concentrate on my new found passion of landscape painting with the aim of becoming a contemporary artist. I work in oils, using palette knives and brushes to create a variety of effects and textures that build depth and atmosphere into my work, with light and its effects being the main focus of my landscapes.
