Although I have always had an interest in art and occasionally did some sketching, I only began my artistic adventure some 19 years ago utilising my leisure hours outside of my working life. I spent 22 years in the armed forces and then worked in several different capacities until it was time for me to retire, which then gave me more time to spend painting. I have learnt my skills from reading books, watching videos and dvd’s, and attending demonstrations by various professional artists. I have not had any formal tuition other than a couple of workshops over the years.
