About the artwork

The footsteps of Vincent In the footsteps of Vincent I tread, Amsterdam's allure fills my head. My favourite artist, his world so bright, Yet shadows lurked, deep in his plight. The colourful realm of Van Gogh's art, A mirror to his soul, a tender heart. Amsterdam's hues, its quirky abodes, Where boats of all sizes line the roads. In this vibrant city, lives Vincent's ghost, His presence felt, his spirit engrossed. His paintings, a symphony of hue, Brushstrokes we cherish, his mastery so true. Like an addict yearning for the next high, I long for Amsterdam, I can't deny. For in its streets, I sense his grace, A longing deep, I can't efface. So if I could meet Vincent on the other side I will book a lesson or two and to his rules I will abide.

My paintings are usually bright and the mediums I like are Acrylic and Oil. Thanks for looking at my art. Blog by Maxine Harris: There is a kind of quintessential charm found in Suzette’s paintings. The themes of her love for forests, houses human interaction are sipping through her charming and exquisite approach. She paints them with the sense of humour and with deliberate choice of the primary colours, red, blue and yellow (and their variants). Her artworks remind us of childhood. Suzette’s paintings depict her chosen subject of the 'lost Britain,' “the way it used to be,” which has been popularised in programmes, such as Miss Marple, and The Last of the Summer Wine, showing British countryside, funny Britain, and simple Brita...
