I've always loved painting sea scenes, particularly when there's a storm brewing. Despite sometimes being labelled as a marine artist. I also love painting en plein air...or direct from nature using sketches, photos and notes. This 'wild sea' painting which is one of my favs, came about after a fast boat ride off the North Cornish coast. I had to hang on for dear life whilst buffeted in the stormy sea and holding a camera. Back in my studio, it took six weeks to complete with lots of oil paint, brushes, palette knives and fingers. Hoping it is liked by my collectors.Wild Sea
