About the artwork
The title of my new painting series, "To Be or Not to Be," draws inspiration from the renowned phrase found in Shakespeare's play. This allusion holds profound significance within the context of my work. Through the repurposing of discarded beverage cans, I craft semi-abstract compositions on canvas employing a diverse range of mixed techniques, including oil, acrylic, paper, as well as elements such as material and thread. The deliberate juxtaposition of these materials serves as a metaphor, urging viewers to contemplate their impact on the environment. In an age where the consequences of our actions are often overlooked, I aim to illuminate the subtle yet pervasive issue of environmental neglect. By transforming overlooked refuse into intricate works of art, I strive to prompt introspection, fostering an awareness of the substantial ecological harm caused by the widespread disregard for the proper disposal of liquid containers. In doing so, I seek to engage society in a dialogue about our collective responsibility in preserving and respecting the environment that we all share—our home.Drink or not to drink- Rock Energy
