Artist statement: My name is Jess and I am an abstract artist, I work in various mediums but mainly acrylic. I use a lot of texture in my work and I focus on layers, flow, movement and energy. I paint to music using songs to inspire me to create each piece. I use that feeling and movement to create my personal interpretation of the song and put it on the canvas. I truly put my heart and soul into each piece, a piece of me. I dance and sing the whole time I am painting every stroke and adding detail. I hope that when someone looks at my work they feel moved by some sort of energy.
