As a child growing up in Sydney, Australia, I always loved drawing and painting. I longed to go abroad, to London and the Continent to study art, and envisaged myself painting in a garret in some exotic place. I studied fine art at the National Art School in Sydney and set off for London in the swinging 60s. I love living in London and have never stopped painting. Over these years I've worked as a graphic designer, art director, College art teacher, and also as an animator (I spent two years at the London International Film School), and my hand-drawn animation films have won prizes and been shown internationally and at the London Film Festival.
