About the artwork
I was tidying up the studio this week and found this drawing of Marilyn Monroe I did back in 2012! It looks like the first monochrome study using a pastel pencil (I found them as well) I did on black paper, the paper pad has only one page missing so this was the first - I now need to do more. The reason for this drawing may have been to look at how monochrome work on black could be done in preparation to painting on black leather; it worked! I am a portraiture artist, full-time since 2013 and specialising in painting on leather although I can and do occasionally use traditional media.
