This is a special painting. It depicts a moment in time for myself and my partner as we danced the Argentine tango in a show we created. The couple are caught in a moment where they are only aware of each other and the music. At this moment, you can feel each others breath and the intensity of the energy between you and nothing else. It's a unique moment that can never be recreated although every time I see the image I remember everything about that evening. The painting is on a specially prepared piece of MDF the has been cut to fit a beautiful antique frame which the dealer assured me was circa 1900.It's a little worn as you would expect from a frame over 100 years old but it's solid wood and it lends a beautiful faded contrast to the intensity and freshness of the painting.The Tango Embrace

I started painting as a young child and went to Art College in the UK leaving with a Degree. For a few years I concentrated on a career in graphics and my painting became illustrations instead. Since moving to live by the sea in the last few years, my love of painting has been renewed. With the inspiration of the beautiful coastline of Dorset, the continual changing sea and sky is a never-ending fascination of colour and pattern for me and I try to capture the energy and light of what I see before me. I paint in acrylics and all my paintings are individual. They seek to capture a moment in time that is unique and which can never be repeated.
