The title of this piece evokes a passing moment in time, it is about sound, colours, feeling...for me its about manifesting something from deep inside your soul into something tangible. I build waves into my work representing sound in motion and I create the painting with brushes, fingers and subtle pallet knife touches recreating waves of colored sound and silent pools of tranquility. I am always inspired by Turner in his compositions and have developed my own gestures and techniques when applying oil glazes. I used a tradition palette of colors and mixed tints and tones to capture the depth and atmosphere.Tranquility

Julie Bond is a full time artist living in Surrey UK. "Movement and the play of light on water, clouds, in fact all of nature inspire me. I use oils on canvas or board in a traditional way and use a renaissance palette as my base. I introduce new colours and use traditional fine art techniques with mixtures of more abstract, broad brush strokes to give life and vitality to my work. Portraiture and figurative art have been my foundation and my latest collections of oils are enjoying more of a free flow with the emphasis on contrasting light and depth.
